Advance Force Operations- Advisor Unit “SALAMANDER”
Often before SOF teams enter a hot and denied AO, there are Pathfinders, enablers- Advance Force Operatives who coordinate intel, support, and conduct battlefield prep operations to make the AO just permissable enough for the wider mission. AFO- SALAMANDER is the enabler force in the Hambatu Mission, working alongside JTF SHEPHERD, ODA 3XXX, as well as different SME and SMU personnel to ensure that GREM remains safe.
AFO personnel dress as the mission dictates, in what allows them to work seamlessly in areas that are otherwise denied. They may appear as locals, or in a confusing mixture of local and friendly equipment.
