Gripped by a civil war that began in 2018, Hambatu is a nation of 6 provinces in South-Central Africa. Comprising of Jungle, Mountain, Swamp, Forest, desert, water, and Badlands region, Hambatu is an economic and political wasteland at perpetual war with itself as it sorts out decolonization the hard way.

The only functional piece of the Hambatuese economy is Gokuri Province- home to the Gokuri Rare Earth Mining complex or GREM.

While Rare Earth materials are a valuable resource, for reasons not clear to the wider public, the US and the “5 eyes” nations have taken particular interest in preventing GREM from falling into HARM hands.

The 5 Eyes alliance have worked alongside and in an advisory role to the Hambatuese Defense forces (HDF) however, they are poorly matched and often surrounded by Hambatuese Armed Militia (HARM) who have been trained and armed in near-peer equipment and practices.
